Love With A Motive

One of my favourite designers is Chloe. I am in love with the collection and got a Chloe bag for my 20th. It is possibly my favourite possession. In fact I like it so much that I've only used it 2-3 times in the last year or so! Anyway, I thought I'd share my love of the brand by giving a brief history of it then indulging everyone in some of my favourite pieces from the brand.

Chloe was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion and her partner Jacques Lenoir, and was one of the first luxury brands that made Ready-To-Wear clothes, as opposed to Made-To-Measure.
The founders chose the name 'Chloe' because of its warm and feminine appeal, which fit in perfectly with the Parisienne scene at that time, and Chloe
opened the doors of its first boutique in 1971, in Paris. (It couldn't have been anywhere else).
Since then, Chloe became one of the biggest brands around and in the 1970's, attracted the likes of Jackie Kennedy and Grace Kelly.
To keep with up and coming trends, Chloe kept bringing new, young designers, including Stella McCartney in 1997. She gave the brand a more romantic feel to it with her vintage lingerie and her low rise trousers which helped define a generation and give further success to the brand.
Today, top celebrities, such as Natalie Portman, are loyal customers which shows that Chloe's success will continue to grow.

What I love about Chloe is that it's so cool and chic and it really is something that you can wear everyday (if you can afford it). Everything in their collection is absolutely gorgeous and is meant to look great and feminine on whoever who wears it.

And because one set wasn't enough...

Is it wrong that I cried while making the polyvore sets because everything was just so beautiful??? Unfortunatly, Chloe is slightly out of my price range, but a girl can dream right...

Chloe is gorgeous. I saw a few nice things that were *almost* in my price range on theoutnet when it first opened, but they were all snapped up too fast for me :(

Crying is totally acceptable!

I'm not usually a shorts type of girl, but I saw a pair of silk ones by Chloe in the most decadent peach color that I'm just dying to take home!
