My South Asian Outfit

I'm not the most traditional of people. I usually stick to jeans etc and avoid traditional south asian clothes on a daily basis. They're usually reserved for weddings, and even then I complain about them.
So, when I was invited to a graduation party, where the dress code was traditional, I was slightly apprehensive. But my friend persuaded me to go and wear traditional clothes and this is what I wore:

What I actually liked about the outfit was the trousers that go with it. They were very baggy and very much like something that Jasmine from Aladdin would wear.

And these are my shoes:

And the heel of the shoes:

(The first picture is the back of the heel, and the second picture is a side view of the heel)

What do
you guys think of it, and would you consider wearing it?

I love it!! Couldn't pull it off myself (it'd look wrong and I wouldn't want people to think I was being disrespectful), but it looks great. And the heels on those shoes are amazing!!! I'd definitely wear the shoes!

You look beautiful! Seriously, what a flattering and stunning outfit. And I completely agree about your Princess Jasmine comparison. :) You really look fantastic! I wishh I could pull something like this off and still look half as cute as you do!

You look drop dead gorgeous. I love the entire outfit; I, however, wouldn't even attempt to wear it. I'm more of a skinny jeans kind of girl. :)

Gorgeous outfit - you look really great in it, and the heels of those shoes? Amazing!

I love South Asian clothes, although the only time I've ever gotten away with wearing them was when I was about 13 and we had to reinact a Sikh wedding in my religious studies class (?!) so I raided my friend's wardrobe! I think I played 'female relative #2' or something!
