So, when I was invited to a graduation party, where the dress code was traditional, I was slightly apprehensive. But my friend persuaded me to go and wear traditional clothes and this is what I wore:
What I actually liked about the outfit was the trousers that go with it. They were very baggy and very much like something that Jasmine from Aladdin would wear.
And these are my shoes:

I love it!! Couldn't pull it off myself (it'd look wrong and I wouldn't want people to think I was being disrespectful), but it looks great. And the heels on those shoes are amazing!!! I'd definitely wear the shoes!

You look drop dead gorgeous. I love the entire outfit; I, however, wouldn't even attempt to wear it. I'm more of a skinny jeans kind of girl. :)

I love South Asian clothes, although the only time I've ever gotten away with wearing them was when I was about 13 and we had to reinact a Sikh wedding in my religious studies class (?!) so I raided my friend's wardrobe! I think I played 'female relative #2' or something!
