Fashion in Politics: Yulia Tymoshenko

She is the current president of Ukraine and has gorgeous hair. She has lovely golden locks, which she normally has in a braid around her head.

















Most of the time, female politicians will have their in a bun, or just out, but its rare to see them in a hairstyle that the likes of Sienna Miller have. What I love about her braid is that its so neat and perfectly done. I've tried doing this hairstyle of several occasions, with no luck. Her braid is a traditional Ukranian hairstyle. She was criticised for her hair being fake, and so she unpinned her hair in public, just to show that it was real.
Her hairstyle is very cool and elegant and shows that a very important woman (one of the most powerful women in the world) can look good and be taken seriously. She was even on the cover of Ukranian Elle.

But her hair let down is even more gorgeous. She has lovely curls in them, which makes for a more feminine look. Female politicians often opt to cut their hair short, and I'm assuming this is so they don't have to give it a lot of time, so they can do other things, but Tymoshenko's long hair shows that this doesn't have to be the case.
