Twenty8Twelve

I know lots of celebrites have their own clothing labels, and they all vary in style and quality. But one fashion label that I do like is Sienna Miller's 'Twenty8Twelve'. Sienna, alongside her sister, Savannah, started up this fashion line, back in 2007. They got the name from Sienna's birthday (28th December).

Personally, I would call Sienna Miller one of my style icons. Shes one of the people I google when I'm lacking inspiration for outfits.

The collection itself is very stylish and wearable. Its quite grunge and one of their key staples are leather jackets. I also love some of the t-shirts featured.

Autumn/Winter 2009:

Spring/Summer 2010:

You can get a lot of the collection from Asos, Bluefly, Harvey Nichols, Saks Fifth Avenue, Revolve Clothing and a lot more designer stores.

So what are you waiting for? Check out the collection adn let me know what you guys like from it.

Waistcoat Love

I've wanted a waistcoat for ages. I love how they look and how they seem to spice up any outfit. Waistcoats do go with everything, from a nice blouse to a cute dress.
I got one from French Connection recently and wore it 3 times in the first week. I don't think I've done that with any other clothes in the past.

I wore that first outfit to my cousins birthday. It was a lunch time thing, so it was a nice casual look. The second outfit is what I wore to a makeover. Long story short, it was basically you had your hair and make up done, then you change clothes and have a few photos taken. I don't think I've ever worn so much make up though.
The final outfit I wore for an interview for an internship (which I got, yay).
I also managed to wear it to a gig and am wearing it to a press event.

Waistcoats

There are so many different types of waistcoats, from casual to smart, that you really can wear them for lots of different occassions. I think you'd be ok to wear them to work, on a night out, or even just adding a bit of style to a plain tank.

Also, the fact that I'm wearing my one waistcoat to so many different events shows just how versatile it is.

Giles Deacon Scarf!!

I was one of the lucky ones to win an exclusive Giles Deacon Scarf. He teamed up with Cadbury's Caramal Nibbles to create a gorgeous scarf and they did a great giveaway to promote this.

A few weeks ago, Caramal Nibbles opened up online pop up stores all over the internet. This took place over two days and it was really stressful. You had to be at the right website at the right time. This consisted of a lot of refreshing their facebook page and trying to get to the right blogs before everyone else.
Each pop up shop was open anywhere between 15 minutes and an hour.

Once at the correct website, you clicked on the online boutique and were given a number in the queue (I was in the 900's on my first attempt!), and had to be lucky to get to the front of the queue before the shop closed and moved to another website.
5 boutiques and 4 hours later, I recieved one!!!

It was definitely worth the 4 hours, lol. Just wondering if everyone else is like me when it comes to winning, so: whats the longest queue or craziest thing thing you've done to win something? I would love to hear all your answers!

Also, I recently went on one of my crazy shopping sprees (I'm a complete shopoholic) and I bought this:

Isn't it gorgeo
us! It was an impulse buy. I saw it and had to have it! I bought it from Accesorize for only £3.50. I don't have a clue when I'm going to wear it though.

New Look Style Wars

We've featured an episode of New Looks Style Wars before, but this next one was different: I was lucky enough to be a contestant on the show!!! I was a contestant alongside the lovely and gorgeous Hannah from London--Rose. We had a great day of running around, really stressed, and chatting about various subjects.

It was such a fun couple of hours!!! Basically, we're given 5 minutes and a limit of £100 and we have to run around the store looking for clothes that fit the theme we were given. So it was a lot of running around and it was quite stressful at the time. I felt like a crazy person running around with an armful of stuff!! Anyway, heres the video:

Lol. I hate watching myself on camera. And I'm pretty sure I don't talk like that, right? I am cringing a bit.

I was quite sad that I lost, but was really happy for Hannah. The coat she picked was absolutely amazing!! Hannah is absolutely lovely and has amazing style that you can check out on her blog. But one thing I had to do was buy the boots.
And heres a picture our friend decided to take of all the action:

Also, here at HiFashion, we are getting in the Christmas spirit. We'd like to send Christmas cards to anyone who'd like one. All you have to do is email us with your address and we'll send one out as soon as we can.

T-Post T-shirts

Let me tell you guys about my new t-shirt. No matter how many dresses and skirts I wear, I'll always be a jeans and t-shirt girl at heart. I own a ridiculous amount of tees and love having cute designs and patterns on them.

I was really excited when I heard about T-Post. It came with the slogan: The World's First Wearable Magazine. Intriguing, I know.
What T-Post do is, every 6 weeks, they pick up a real live story and design a graphic for it, which goes on the front of the t-shirt. Then on the inside they write an article about it. So it is like a magazine: artwork on the outside and the print on the inside.
The story they choose is an usually an interesting one, but one that the mainstream media may not have picked up on.

These T's are not for sale anywhere and you need to subscribe to
T-Post to get these exclusive Tees. They only make enough for their subscribers, so they don't overprint and waste. I
think its a great concept. They use fashion and art to spread the word about new and interesting stories.

Its also a great way to get a conversation started. Someone comes up to you and says 'nice t-shirt' and you can tell them the interesting story behind it.

The one I got was about the death penalty. It has a noose on the front and the story is that people in the US want to abolish the death penalty, simply because it costs too much to execute someone. I'm not going to go in detail about the article, but you can read it, along with others on their website.

My tee was designed by David Foldvari, and after googling him, I've seen that his illustrations are amazing.

Also, I just wanted to briefly mention a product I heard about. One of the things I love about blogging is getting emails about lots of cool new products.
We were contacted by Conair about their new Infiniti Cord Keeper Styler. It as a retractable cord which is very useful for someone like me who has so many wores when I'm travelling. I have my curlers and straighteners, as well as all my chargers, and everything gets so tangled.
And the retractable cord isn't the only good thing about it. It has 1875 watts of power, meaning its very powerful and makes styling a lot quicker. It has Ionic technology that causes silky and shiny hair, while reducing static and frizz. Let me know if any of you have ever used this, and how you found it.

Miss Pettigrew fashion

The one good thing about having a ridiculous amount of TV channels is that there is ALWAYS something on. Thats how I came across the movie 'Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day'. It starred Amy Adams and was such a sweet, fun little movie. It was set in the 1930's and Amy Adams had some gorgeous outfits on.
The movie took place over
one day, so it was good to see a lot of outfit changes.

I wish I could look this good while lounging about at home. I loved her in this silk wrap, and particularly love the furs she got on. And the look is so cute and girly.

I thought this was a really great outfit. Again, I'm loving the colour. My favourite thing about this outfit is the hat: It looked so great. Along with the fur and the gloves, this outfit was really elegant and fits in so well with what was around during the 1930's.

I know you really can't see this one properly, but at least you can see the detail on the side. It was a pretty dress and fit her so well. What made me love it even more was the cute hairclip she has on. I think she had an equally pretty one on on the other side as well.

This was by far my favourite dress. I couldn't get a proper picture of it, but the neckline was simply amazing. I think you can kind of see it in the first picture. The neckline crossed across her neck and had shiny brooches on either side. The colour of the dress made it really glamourous as well.

I liked the design of this one. It was well cut and the hat was beautiful. And I'm in love with the brooch she has on.

South Asian Fashion

I was very surprised when my dad told me that there were South Asian designers on the catwalks of Milan Fashion Week (yes, I know that was way back in September). I do like South Asian Fashion, so was very interested to see what they came out with.
I tend to only wear traditional clothes at weddings, and am always looking for ways to modernise them. I always find it really uncomfortable to wear them for more than a few hours at a time, so I happily welcome any modern and comfortable ideas for them.

They were being showcased in Milan on the 30th September 2009, as part ‘N-U-DE New Upcoming Designers Project’, launched by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana to enhance international designers
.
I'm looking at three designers that were there: Deepak Perwani, Maheen Khan and Rizwan Bey.
Hopefully I can look into each designer in depth some time in the future, but for now, here are the photos from the show:

These first pictures are from Deepak Perwani. The colours and styles of his clothes are magnificant. I googled him a while back and some of his collections are fantastic.

These next ones are from Maheen Khan:

And finally, these ones are from Rizwan Bey. They have to be my favourite from all of the collections.

Which ones are your favourites and are there any out of these 3 designers that you'd like me to research some more?
