All in all, the whole campaign looks great. The set also comes with a photographic style calender/diary, which you can use to follow and see what the two are up to. There are pictures of Barbie and Christian Louboutin together, around Paris and the pictures are fantastic. The calender/diary is called 'A Year in Paris'. You can check out some of the pictures here. My favourite is the one of Barbie on a date (with Ken?) and Christian is in the background looking hilarious.
There was, however, a bit of controversey behind this campaign as well. While designing the shoes, Christian claimed that Barbies feet were too fat. He said that her feet needed to be more curved so that the shoes looked better. Heres what Christian Louboutin said about the issue:
“Barbie’s foot has always been shaped less ‘curvy’ than the rest of her perfect body,” he said. “I just added my little science to Barbie and I’ve been proud to serve her. But fat ankles she didn’t have, she just could have had thinner ankles. That’s all"

Other designers, such as DVF and Givenchy will also be interpreting Barbie in their own ways, as part as the 'Barbie as Muse' Project.
P.S. I've recently discovered Posh-Swaps. It an online clothes swapping website. People can swap, buy and sell clothes here. January 9th has officially been declared the International day of shopping. To celebrate this, Posh-Swaps is hosting a free online swishing event. We all know that swishing parties have gained popularity in the last year or so, and that they aren't going anywhere soon.
All you have to do is register online and then you can list as many items as you want, by the 9th January. You can browse and see what you like from other users, and then you can propose swaps. One key aim is to get Fashion Bloggers from all over the world to attend and help promote sustainable style by listing their clothes.
Ceri Heathcote founder of Posh-swaps.com said “International Day of Swishing is such a great opportunity to get people from all over the online at once to swap clothes, have fun and promote sustainable style. It is also a great way to refresh your wardrobe for the New Year without spending money and swap any unwanted Christmas presents”
Hope to see you guys there!!! xx
