A cold Friday night

Friday was my friends 22nd Birthday. Eeeek, I can't believe we're all turning 22!! She's one of my oldest friends and ALWAYS celebrates in style.
So, heres the first outfit post of 2010:

Sorry for my dodgy smile. When I was looking at 'My Year in Outfits' post, I realised that I did a weird thing in most of the pictures, where I gaze into space as a pose. I was trying NOT to do that pose here.
I'd also just got burnt by my curlers, so that smile is very forced!

I changed my outfit like 3 times before I settled on this. Anyway, my skirt is from boohoo.com, the shoes are New Look (4 inch heels, I might add), and the black top is Dorothy Perkins. I think you all know how much I love waistcoats, so I was determined to add one into the outfit. I bought this one from Pakistan (I bought another one as well, but in a different colour). The shop was called 'Outfitters'. If you're ever in that region, or if you ever see that shop somewhere, I definitely recommend you guys to go in. They have really cool clothes, at fairly reasonable prices.

Love that skirt! Do you find New look shoes comfy? They always look so incredibly... high in the shop!

"dodgy smile"

:D

I can relate to the posing dilemma.
No worries, you look great, and the outfit is super cute.

I have the same dodgy smile issue in a lot of my pictures! I like the smiling pose though!

I love those shoes. New Look really do some very good shoes I think, and so reasonably priced.

I love the little pop of purple around your waist - such a pretty way to add a hint of color to a neutral-toned outfit. You look stunning, Sherin; and I hope you didn't burn yourself too badly!! :)

I very much identify my style to the cutesy looks that you present here. Your skirt is adorable and the pumps too! Chanel-like... j'adore!

Love that skirt on you! I always eye New Look shoes but never try them on. Do they last? I'm always worried they'll fall apart after a few wears (I've had this problem with Zara).

I LOVE this outfit especially the shoes and skirt. I also like how you styled the vest. I have a black vest that I'd like to wear more but I don't know what to wear it with.

I love this look on you, Sherin. The waist coat made the whole look edgier instead of too girly but I like also that purple bow that you made as a belt.

4-ins heels? Seriously? Hands down! :)
