Apologies if the pictures aren't too great today. I haven't been feeling well ever since I got back to London: I've been feeling dizzy, nauseous, and just ill overall. I'm not used to being sick and am not sure what's wrong with me - I think it's either low blood pressure, low blood sugar, or iron deficiency. Hope it doesn't show through too much in the pictures!
Why yes, I do love the rose print + sequins + pink combination (as seen here). I still can't believe I bought a skirt in the exact same print as the tunic top, but I just love this print so much and I think a skirt is more wearable than that body-con top! I'm not sure if the shape is very flattering, though; it puffs a bit too much at the hip...
This massive sequin bag is from Blue Inc. You know how much I love sequins, and I think this bag is going to become a firm favorite! It's big and roomy - perfect for all the books and papers I carry around with me much of the time. Plus, it has three inner pockets which is great - I always lose little items like keys in my bag and this will help me keep organised! What do you think, is it okay to use this sequin bag for uni, or is it a bit too over the top?
Mmm, sparkles. I love.
Before I left the house, I added my OTKs and a massive bright pink coat.
I love the way the fur from my cardigan pokes out above my coat, making it sort of look like the coat has a fur collar. I have lots of faux fur cardigans and do this all the time - it works on jackets, too!
I think coats are just universally unflattering, though. I always feel like a massive round gumdrop when I'm wearing a winter coat!
Outfit details:
Motel rose print skirt
Asos pink top
Mango faux fur cardigan
Blue Inc handbag
Topshop coat

And before I leave today, I just wanted to say a word about Haiti. I'm sure you are all aware of the devastation that the earthquake caused earlier this week. If you would like to donate, there's a comprehensive list here on all the organisations providing relief in Haiti. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has highlighted the urgent need for tents, so at this point I would recommend that you donate to one of the organisations providing shelter. I donated to the International Medical Corps a few days ago; apparently more than 92% of the proceeds go directly to the people who need it, and they also try to hire local staff whenever possible. Please do help, in whatever way you can.

Love love LOVE what you're wearing, that skirt is very pretty (I'd never wear it myself, I'm just not floral!). I think the bag is great too - sod the university, if you like it AND it's useful, then you should use it!! I'm saying that and I'm at law school, which is not the most fashion-forward of places!
I love your outfit! It's soo gorgeous! But I love your necklace even more its adorable!
Such a fabulous color to brighten your day. Hope you're feeling better Leia.
I'm obsessed with your sequin bag. xoxo
i love the print on the skirt. & the bag is fabulous, definitely not too over the top.
fab outfits. Congrats to winning the gorgeous necklace x
That skirt is just the adorablest! And the bag is very drool-worthy. ;)

I love rose prints, your skirt is so gorgeous!! And the necklace you won is so sweet too!
Hope you're feeling much better today!
Sending my prayers to Haiti...
Nice jacket.
I love your pink coat, Leia! The other day I tried on a skirt like that but with purple floral prints but it sort of bunched around my bum so I didn't buy it. That skirt you're wearing looks good on you.
Although I'm not a fan of sequins,I think it's okay to use that bag in uni. It's roomy and versatile.
Have a nice weekend!
PS: Lots of walking and climbing hilly places during the trip, no rice and eating a little made me lose weight, now that I'm back home, I've become a bum again and so the weight's coming back. Bad!
Oh and congratulations on the new necklace and locket! Never mind that it's broken, I'm sure it can be repaired. ;)
Wow. Just wow. What wonderful pieces. That skirt and coat are so such classic shapes and they work wonderfully on you. (Then again a paper bag would probably look fabulous on you.) Beautiful hair. I am trying to grow mine out and locks like yours keep me inspired. Love that locket. Lucky you!
I love your coat Leia!
FABULOUS OUTFIT!! I love it - I would never have thought to mix floral with sequins.

OMG I had the same issue with low blood sugar last yr while working in China but almost died! I had that bc I got food poisoning and kept vomiting. Anyway, I saw a doctor and she injected me a high does of glucose sugar. Did you see a doctor about it bc it can get very serious!! :) Mon Mode Blog
