Last Saturday, Sherin and I met up with Harriet and Fritha at Candy Cakes (thanks Gem for the recommendation!) for lunch, blog gossip, fashion chat, and cupcakes.
I wore lace and florals; one of my favorite combinations:
However, this outfit was best-suited for warm weather, and though it was sunny outside, I've learned that temperatures can drop without warning in London! So I added a cardigan and tights before I headed out:

I know I look silly wearing sunglasses inside, but I had just received them and wanted to share. I hadn't heard of Polaroid sunglasses before, but I was really impressed with this pair! I decided to opt for a retro wayfarer shape, even though they're probably too big for my face (and are from the men's section). Ah well, I love them - and I'm on the hunt for a shift dress to complete the retro look!
Anyway, back to the blog meet: here are the girls trying to decide which cupcakes to sample -
Fritha and Harriet contemplating what to get, while Sherin giggles
(probably with excitement)
She loves chocolate.
Nom nom nom!
While everyone else had cupcakes,
I decided to be different and opted for macaroons instead.
Fritha looked so pretty -
lots of men hit on her that day!
with empty plates
and full bellies.
Very different but equally gorgeous outfits!
Sherin and I posing outside.
I don't know why, but I just cannot seem to
look at the camera when someone is taking my picture!
I assaulted Sherin with two hats in Miss Selfridge
We had wandered into Make Up Store, a Swedish make-up company that just opened a shop on Carnaby Street a couple of months ago, and I tried on (and ended up buying) this bright pink lipstick. How does it look?
A very tired Leia at the end of the afternoon!
After a little (okay, a lot) of shopping, Fritha, Sherin and I headed back to Candy Cakes for some smoothies. I stand firmly by the fact that shopping is a form of exercise - it can be so tiring and we were really thirsty afterwards!
Did you do anything fun over the weekend? And have you been shopping lately?
