Last week, we were invited to the Triumph Inspiration Awards. As you know, Triumph is a well known Lingerie company, and the current face of the brand is Louise Redknapp, who was also at the event.
For the last 3 year's, Triumph has invited young students from fashion schools around the world to take part in a lingerie design contest. This year's theme was 'Shape Sensation' and I was absolutely amazed at some of the designs.
There will be winners from 27 countries, and the grand final will take place in September in London. The winner winner will get their design turned into a limited edition piece to be sold in Triumph stores.
I was at the national final last week and there were students from Central St Martins and De Montfort University. The event was hosted by Nicky Hambleton Jones, who was looking stunning! Here are my favourites from all the contestants. These pictures are from the Triumph website (my catwalk pictures didn't come out that great!)
Ondrej Adamek (Central Saint Martins); Magnetic.

Samantha Adlam (De Montfort); Collision: This was inspired by protons and particles and their collisions through space.

Kate Burreddu (De Montfort); Podastic: Inspired by the structure of plant and insect pods.

Charlotte Davis (De Montfort); Queen in Crystal Armour: Inspired by chess pieces and includes beading.

Laura Haslam (De Montfort); Contemporary Structure: Inspired by British architectures, particularly steel structures. It is a very futuristic design.

Olivia Nanasi (De Montfort); Beautiful Fragile Urchins: Inspired by the texture in nature and of shells, as well as the delicate surface of the female form.

Charlotte Pass (De Montfort); Quintessentially English: This was definitely my favourite one: it was very tailored and was made from tweed and silk.

Scarlett Tull (Central Saint Martin); Freestyle Lines:

After the models strutted their stuff, the judges (which included the duo from Felder & Felder) chose their winner. They chose Isabella Newell's (Central Saint Martins) design: Circu Freaks:

I really enjoyed the event and it was cool seeing Louise Redknapp in person (she is gorgeous). It was so interesting to see such a fresh and unique perspective on lingerie and some of the designs were truely out of this world. And as usual, my friend and I met some gorgeous guys there.
