I was at a completely unfashion related event last week and I thought I'd share it with you because it was such a fun night out. Basically, Volvo launched their new car, the S60, and are doing tours around Europe, in Berlin, London, Paris, Milan and Madrid. I am actually a huge car fan, so there was no was I was going to miss out. Even my dad and brother were jealous!
The tour features both Swedish popstar Lykke Li (who did a performance) and awesome street style photographer Facehunter. Facehunter will actually be documenting the parties and taking pictures there, so check out his blog. I was supposed to be interviewing the legend that is Facehunter, but unfortunately had to leave the event early, so missed out :(
If you're at any of the future locations (Paris, Milan, Madrid), I recommend you to try and go to the event. Prior to each night, Volvo will be hiding cubes around the city for you to find.
I actually had a great time at the Launch. I took my friend along (who I drag to most of the events these days) and we really enjoyed ourselves. The car itself looks pretty cool. We sat inside and it was really comfortable.
That's my friend, Marilena, and I. We always have a good time when we go out. She is forcing me to jump out of a plane for her charity though. If you want to join me in Skydiving, please let me know. I need more friendly faces for it!
The high light of the evening was definitely the Karaoke Car. They had one of their car's fitted with a Karaoke machine and you just sit in it and sing as loud as you can. It was so much fun. We sang Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer, and Abba's Dancing Queen. It was my first go at Karaoke and I loved it: will definitely be doing it again. For those of you who I'm frends with on Facebook, you can see the video there. If not, don't worry, you're not missing much: I sound like a screeching cat! I will also try getting my car fitted in with a karaoke machine, lol.
I also found out that Matt Horne was there on the night. I can't believe I missed him!!!
P.S. Yaaay, I have a ton more events coming up. Can't wait to share my fun with you guys.
