The lovely Tanvii recently tagged me in a 'What's in your bag' tag. I've always wanted to do one of these, so here you go:
I have 2 bags, which I alternate, depending on what mood I'm in. The first one is from Forever 21 and the second one is from New Look. I literally do take loads of things with me when I'm out, so having a bag with a lot of room and different compartments is really important for me. I actually really love that New Look bag: it can fit loads into it without looking bulky and stay on my shoulder so well. Once, on a night out, a drunk guy even complimented it.
I get really bored on trains and buses, so I always make sure that I have some reading material. I always have both a book and a magazine on me. I love reading Time Magazine and have been a subscriber for about two years. The book I'm reading right now is 'The End of the Affair' by Graham Greene and I'm reading this for my book club. (By the way, it's a fantastic book).
I also like to be very organised and alway carry paper and pens on me (more than one pen because I keep losing them). I also carry my blog business cards because you never know who you might run into!
I used to carry a small make up bag within my bag, but it was usually empty as I just threw things into my bag instead. I have a comb for emergencies (which I've never had to use), tissues (I'm a messy eater in public), spare hair ties and pins, vaseline, a moxie box (a modest way to carry your female 'products'), a mirror, hand cream (no brand in specific, but they're usually taken from hotels) and make up. I have NYC lip balm, Rimmel Liquid eyeliner and Maxfactor lipgloss.
And my essentials. I have an umbrella (It rains in England...a lot), purse (this battered one is from French Connection), my Oyster card (because you can't go anywhere in London without one) and house keys. Unless I'm out driving, I usually won't have my car keys with me. That strawberry in the corner is from CocoRose and unfolds into a tote bag for when I've done too much shopping. I also carry my sunglasses ('stolen' from my dad) and normal glasses. I'll be honest, I don't know why I have my normal glasses on me at all times: I usually wear contacts.
And the two things I can't live without: my phone and my MP3. My phone is the Nokia X6 (no, I don't have an iPhone) and it is one of the best phones I've ever had. When I don't have my camera on me, this is a great stand in. In fact, even when I do have my camera on me, I'll end up using my phone. If you are looking for a new phone, I definitely recommend this one.
The fat thing next to it is my Creative MP3 (no, I don't have an iPod). I've had it for about 5 years and it's not even showing signs of getting tired. It's quite rough and can handle it whenever it fall on the floor (which is a lot).
And those earphones are amazing. They're Sennheiser in-ear earphones. This means that they block out ALL outside sound so that you don't have to listen to whatever is going on around you and you can fully appreciate the music.
I tag each and every one of you...so tell me: what's in you bag?
P.S. I'm off to Qatar for the next 2 weeks, so will be missing from the blogisphere. And when I get back, I'm going straight to a gig from the airport, so I will be shattered! I do have some interesting scheduled posts though.
