So yesterday I had my Part 1 of the Yellowdoor AW Preview. Because there were so many interesting brands, I thought I'd split the post in two, so as not to put too much information and pictures in one post.
According to Havaiana's, 'It's always Summer'. This is a great motto to live by! As always, they had some pretty cool flipflops on disply. I really loved the one with the Swarovski heart on the front.
What I loved, however, was the fact that they've branched out a bit more and made more shoes that can be worn all year round. As a sneaker fan, I can see myself practically living in some of these and some of the shoes here are also eco-friendly.
And, Havaianas also did socks that can be worn especially with flipflops. What do you all think??
I really like this brand. I first discovered them a while back and thought they did amazing clothes. Their AW collection is definitely not a let down. As you know, I love everything to do with the 60's, and A-Wear's AW10 collection is called '60's Kitten', so as you can imagine, I'm very excited to get my hands on a few pieces.
Inspirations for the collection include Sienna Miller as Edie Sedwick, Twiggy and Bridgitte Bardot. The shift dress was a clear piece that they had and they definitely looked very 60's. There were also girly touches on the clothes, with cute bows.
According to the Press Release, Camel is the colour of the season, and they had a gorgeous camel coat.
A-Wear's accessories didn't disappoint either. The knitted hats and scarf definitely look a lot of fun and the bags are perfect accessories.
I can't believe I hadn't heard of this brand before. They had some seriously gorgeous dresses. They've been going for 10 years, so in honour of his, they've launched 10 versions of the iconic LBD, re-wworked from their past collections.
I've always loved Radley bags, and the new collection was no disappointment. The bags were all elegant and classic and looked pretty great.
They also did a collaboration withKurt Geiger and produced some amazing shoes.
I do love Full Circle. Their clothes are absolutely amazing! They had some really pretty pieces and the prints were gorgeous. The prints are all designed in-house, so they're really unique as well. GYI: I am in love with this greenish piece. It is so stunning.
I've always taken Republic for granted and never realise how great it is. Not only do they have a lot of fashionable items, it's also at really good prices. Republic seriously do some of the coolest clothes. And heres a trend hint for AW10: Aviator jackets are a staple! I kid you not: I can guarantee that they will be a hot trend over the Winter.
I also think this studded skirt and maxi dress are both stunning. And there were a lot more pieces like them in the collection.
Comptoir Des Cotonniers
This is one brand that I still don't know too much about, but I am hooked! The pieces there were fabulous and the shoes were stunning!
Actually, Comptoir des Cotonniers are running a really interesting competition as well. The Trench Coat has been an iconic piece at Comptoir des Cotonniers for 15 years and to celebrate this, they are asking people to reinvent their iconic trench coat and put forward their dream designs. The competition is running until the 6th September and the winner will recieve £850 to spend instore and you can find further details here.
So, Acne have recently opened up stores and are another brand that have some really great pieces in the collection. I was very very impressed by the shoes, especially this pair: Isn't it fabulous?
They also had an aviator jacket in their collection and a lot of really cool leather pieces as well.
