Outfits

I haven't done a proper outfit post in a while, so I thought I'd hit you guys with a double wammy.

I wrote about what a great time I had at the Pretty Reckless gig that I went to last week. I kinda suck at dressing for gigs, and am even worse at finding tops to wear with skirts, so end up with a black t-shirt.

I went for a Dorothy Perkins t-shirt and a Primark skirt (I actually bought the skirt a few hours before: it was love at first sight). My shoes were bought locally.

Any idea what else I can wear with the skirt??

Harriet recently talked about 'boring outfits' and although her outfit was far from boring, I was inspired to do an outfit of what I wear on an everyday basis: my outfit posts are usually just when I'm dressed up for something in particular.
I wore the followng outfit for a day watching the cricket, at the Oval Stadium. I'm not a huge cricket fan, but going to watch it live is always such fun. Everyone comes with tons of food, and it's pretty much like having a picnic, while watching the match. It was a bit chilly, so I opted for jeans and a tee instead of anything too dressy.

This sort of outfit is pretty much what I've been living in and I'm finding it so comfortable!
My shoes are Vans (I bought them last week, on sale, and love them), my t-shirt was bought from the Republic sale (which was amazing!) I saw it a while back and wanted it so badly: I'm glad I waited because it was only £5 in the sales!! And my jeans were bought from Pakistan. Theres a denim company, called Stoneage, which I've only been able to find in Pakistan. They do, by far, the best jeans I've ever worn.

Sherin xx

P.S. I started my new job this week! Eeep: I'm finally in the real world!! I'm working for MyRetailHeaven. Check it out.

P.P.S. I was also asked by Notion Magazine to write a response to one of their editorials. You can check it out here. Writing it was definitely a lot of fun, and Notion Magazine is such an interesting Magazine.

Hi Sherin! I think is a good idea to take pics of an every day activity is just that sometimes I don't find the light good for the picture or my hair is messy or my face has no make up... but I have thought about it too... because I usually take pictures when I know I'll have a special event or is the weekend and I have more time for pics... You look lovely and I like that outfit very much... is very elegant... I have the same problem I don't know what to wear with skirts ever!

You look so pretty, Sherin! I love the skirt! Like you, I usually just do outfit posts when I have time and when I'm actually wearing something nice. But most of the time i end up in jeans and a t-shirt, which is never too exciting on me. Lol. :)

I love that animal print skirt! I think you paired it perfectly with the black shirt. Since the skirt already has a bold print sometimes it's best to pair it with a simpler top like you did.

And you look great in you basic outfit! Your hair looks lovely in both outfit pictures! Very shiny!

Also, how awesome that you started your new job! I checked out the webpage, looks like it would be a fun job!

And that's fabulous that you were asked to write a response for Notion magazine! Sounds like things are going well!

Wow! I love it! That first outfit is SO my style!!!!!

I really love it so much. I don't know what else to wear with the skirt, 'cause that's exactly what I'd wear with it!!

Best wishes from one blogger to another,

i pretty much live in jeans + tees too, hehe.
it's definitely a pretty skirt... try wearing it with a light sweater if the air outside gets colder.

congrats on the job!

I think the first outfit was perfect for the gig! Simple but it suited the style of the band playing. :)
I'm afraid I go mad with prints every single day. Even for the gym I love to wear detailed tops and patterned (ie floral) hoodies. It's just the way I am.
