So my first post with HiFashion being just mine! I know it's not something huge, but I'm still a bit nervous! The only major change I'll be making is that there'll be a lot more music posts, and to kick off, I have a post about cool things that both The Like and The Charlatans have been upto.
As you all know, I love The Like. They sound so unique and have an amazing 60's feel to them. And I also got really excited, when I saw an article about them in the Sunday Times.
They released the first single, He's Not A Boy, from their new album, Release Me, back in May and it was such a catchy, fun song! They are also doing Leeds and Reading Festival's this year (if only I could afford Tickets!) as well as Support dates for The Strokes (everyone who knows me will know that I have an obsession with the Strokes).
I am really excited for the new album, which comes out September 6 in the UK, and they've just done a video for their new song: 'Wishing He Was dead', which is released on the 30th August.
Wishing He Was Dead is about a cheating lover, who might just regret his follies. A quote from Z Berg: “Wishing He Was Dead is a song for every girl who's been conned, cheated, wounded, and bamboozled. After all, what girl hasn't? It's just a fun little ditty about wishing ill on the one who wronged you.”
The band consists of founding members Z Berg (lead vocals, guitar) and Tennessee Thomas (drums) and they were joined by Laena Geronimo (bass) and Annie Monroe (organ) on the second album.
They're first album, 'Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking', is absolutely fantastic. I've had it on repeat for ages and it's well worth a listen. They've put in a lot of hard work for the new, long awaited, album and have come out stronger.
The're also going to be touring the UK in September and I'm definitely going to be going to the London date!
I'm also a huge Charlatans fan, and they've got a new single out, 'Love is Ending'.The new single sounds absolutely amazing and is so full of energy. Heres a behind the scenes video:
The new album, 'Who We Touch' is released on September 6th and you can see the actual video for Love is Ending here. They're also on tour in October in the UK, so look out for dates.
