Nothing too Sunday Specials worthy today, so I thought I'd catch up with a few tags.
Natasha tagged me in a fun little tag.
Q: Practically everyone is six degrees from a celebrity, political figure or famous person. Will you explain your six degrees of separation from a famous person?
Ok, not exactly 6 degrees, but I had the same driving instructor as the actress, Rebecca Hall. He also taught the lead singer of Travis' wife how to drive. And my brother's ex-collegue is cousins with Alex Reid (does he count as a celebrity??)
Q: What have you always wanted to do, but haven't yet?
Crowd surf at a gig. I think it would be so much fun!!
Q: Which handbag would you buy if money were no object? The Alexander McQueen Knuckle Duster clutch. It is the coolest bag EVER!
Q: Who is your girl crush?
If I only had to pick one: Natalie Portman. I love her. She's gorgeous and is really intelligent as well. She's the perfect role model.
Q: Your favourite meal is:
Pasta!! I love pasta. My mum makes it the best. She doesn't put any sauce in it, but loads of potatoes, chicken and sweetcorn. I also really love a nice Nando's or Mcdonalds lunch.
Q: If you could only save one pair of shoes from your closet, which pair would it be, and why?:
Errrm, this is impossible. I have so many shoes!!! I guess it would have to be my black and white Converses. They're my oldest shoes and I've worn them to death, but they're still in decent condition. I'll choose them because they are so comfortable and go with everything I own.
Q: Last song you listened to:
Meter and Verse by Young Guns: One of the most beautiful songs ever, by the way. I've been listeing to their album, All Our Kings Are Dead, non stop recently: definitely one of my favourite albums of the year (maybe even ever??)
Q: What is your vice?
When people walk slowly, especially on the underground. You're not in a park: MOVE!! *ehem* Or when they walk slowly and right in the middle, so you can't overtake them.
And I was passed the following award by Tasha, and along with came a tag to list 10 things I love.I know I've done this before, but it was ages ago, so heres an updated version, in no particular order.
I know I mention it on the blog a lot, but I really do love music. There are some songs that change your life, songs that make you really happy, songs that make you feel better when you're down and others that remind you of certain things. There is seriously a song for every occassion and music is a big part of my life. Music is always playing in my room and I love going to gigs to see live music as well.
I do have a big mouth and love the sound of my voice. I can talk for hours and hours about everything and anything. Chatting to friends is such a great way to spend an afternoon.
I have more than enough shoes, and I still want more (is that a bad thing??) I love how I have a 5 inch pair of stillettos, sitting next to a scruffy pair of Converses. I do love how there are many different styles and varieties out there, that you can never have too many.
4 Taking photos
I seriously take pictures of EVERYTHING. My computer has folderes and folders of pictures. Everything from buildings to the ocean. I like to take so many pictures because I like to remember all the great things that I do and experiences that I've had. I also like to print out a lot of pictures, so my room has albums of photos. It's so fun to look through old pictures and remember.
This is, for me, one of the best ways to relax, especially in the winter. I love curling up by the fire, with a good book. My favourite book is Catch-22, and I also love Carlos Ruiz Zafon: I've read two of his books and both are complete page turners: I definitely recommend them: The Shadow of the Wind, and The Angel Game. I'm also part of a really local book club and we meet once a month. Those evening are always so much fun. We're currently reading 'Arthur & George' by Julien Barnes (I'm not a huge fan of it).
Although it started off as a bit of a hobby, I absolutely love it right now. It's such a great way to take my mind off things and it's so relaxing to do. Blogging has let me go to some pretty awesome events and meet some of the coolest people ever. I've made some amazing blogger friends from all over the world, who I would love to meet eventually.
Mmmm, chocolate...do I need to say anything else? Actually: chocolates cupcakes and chocolate brownies :) Enjoy the picture!! (Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks she can smell the cake in the picture!!)
Even if I don't buy anything, I do love going shopping. I love walking around stores and making people I'm with buy things ('it looks so good on you, you have to buy it'). And I do love coming home with a bunch of bags filled with pretty new stuff. And here's my theory: it's good excercise: you're walking around for ages, and are even doing some heavy lifting with bags.
9 Dressing up
I know I'm going to sound like a 5 year old, but I love dressing up, even if it's a casual outfit. I like picking out my outfit, then deciding what shoes to wear. Then to find a matching bag and accessories. Then doing my hair and make up. I do like making an effort with my appearance and have so much fun getting ready for stuff.
As a politics graduate and former political intern, I understand how important politics is in our life. It really does get on my nerves when people go around saying they really don't care about what's happening. Taking part in politics lets you make an impact on whats going on around you and even just knowing what's going on in the world can really make a difference.
So thats it: my 2 tags. I tag all of you!! I want to see answers here, in the comments section, or on your blogs. Come on: please. It's a Sunday.
