It's Laundry Time

I was at a pretty awesome party on Thursday. After a few pretty stressful days, this party was exactly what I needed, and with free drinks, such as 'Dirty Tumble' and 'Hot Wash', I knew I was in for a treat.

I mentioned Indesit's Launderette Party a few weeks back and the party definitely lived up to my expectations. For those of you who missed my explanation, a Laundry Party is where you go to do your laundry and party/drink at the same time. Although I didn't bring any dirty laundry, I did have a wonderful time.

So, after work on Thursday, I met up with my plus one (my amazing friend Marilena) and we headed to Brick Lane, and made our way to the Dray Walk Gallery. The whole venue was done so amazingly and was a sight to see. The DJ Booth looked really cool, with washing machines as speakers, and the bar was washing machines put together, with the waitresses wearing authentic launderette outfits.

Thursday was also the celebrity launch of the event, and Marilena and I had a pretty fun time celebrity spotting. We saw Konnie Huque early on (she was my idol growing up), Anthony Costa (From Blue...seeing him really bought out childhood memories), Ironik (I had no idea who he was until Marilena pointed him out), Sam Clark (who I was stood next to for ages without realising who he was), Nate James and a whole host of others. Gabriella Cilmi was also hosting the event and she wore an outfit that was perfect for the ocassion: bubbles and Vivienne Westwood shoes. She looked AMAZING!!! (Excuse my appearance: that's what I look like after a long day at work!)

And I also bumped into Paloma Faith, who looked really cool, as usual.

Overall, it was a great event and I definitely needed that night out. I had such a wonderful time and met some really cool people. One of which was up and coming RnB star: Jaya. She is gorgeous and I gave her a listen on Spotify and she's really talented. I was speaking to her for a while and she's so sweet.
The event was such a perfect opportunity to unwind and hang out with Marilena, who I hadn't seen properly in months.

My theory is that laundry should ALWAYS be done this way. If washing clothes is this fun, it's definitely something I'd do more myself.

Is that bubble dress the same one Lady Gaga has worn? I like it more here, I suppose because it seems quite apt!

Sounds ace. Dirty Tumble - love it!

Thanks for visiting Mrs Bossa Does the Do - my life would be so much easier if, like you, I could live in jeans. I may even try those Levi Curve numbers, as Seven For All Mankind is a little out of my price range... xx
