On Thursday, I was invited to the Victorinox Store, on New Bond Steet to have a look at the new AW clothes collection, just should have just come in. For those of you who don't know, Victorinox are the people who make the Swiss Army Knives. Both my brother and my dad love the Swiss Army Knives and I've grown up, knowing the importance of them, despite not owning one myself.
Unfortunately, the full women's AW collection hadn't come in yet, but the even was done so well that we still all really enjoyed ourselves. I met the really lovely Really Ree, who was just amazing to talk to and hang out with for the whole evening.
As we were one of the first people there, we managed to get specially engraved Swiss Army Knives. We were able to choose the colour and what we wanted to engrave, and the knives were made right in front of us, and was really fun to watch:
I was seriously so impressed at how quickly and well made they were. I was really excited as I now have my first Swiss Army Knife, which comes with tweezers, a bottle opener, a nail file and a lot more.
We were also able to have a good look around the store and it was really fun and we saw some really really cool things. Everything from Victorinox is really versatile as well as having a lot of hidden and useful gadgets/tools.
I absolutely fell in love with the knife below. It was so pretty and sparkly: a perfect tool for any girl. The bag below was a perfect example of the versatility of Victorinox products. It started off as a duffle bag and unzips into a coat holder, and then folds up again: amazing!
We also managed to have a good look at all the special knives in the store. The one below was a really cool special design.
I'm also a bit of a geek and got really excited at the gadget below. It was a Swiss Army Knife with a USB attached to it. And some of them were even fingerprint protected. How cool and James Bond-y is that?? So you won't be able to get to the USB/data without the proper fingerprint.
We were, however, able to see some of the female collection, and I was really impressed. The clothes, again, were really versatile items, really perfect for anything outdoors. This jacket is probably thicker than any coat out there. It really looks so warm and comfortable. The t-shirt had breathing holes under the sleeves, which is definitely something we need for the summer. It would definitely help with any sweat you have when it's really hot.
One of the highlights of the event was watching the ceramic knife at work. The chef was absolutely adorable and did a great job showing off the knife. He threw a tomato at it and it sliced immediately (see video below). I'm such bad cook and can't chop for anything. The chef got out a pineapple and was told to cut the it with the knife. We know how tough cutting pinapple can be, but it cut so easily: really impressive.
I had a great time at the event and am really proud to finally have my own Swiss Army Knife. It is an iconic item, so I'm really happy.
