Bonfire Night

Friday night was definitely a night to remember. It was the 5th November, which is Bonfire Night: I understand that this may mean nothing to all you non-Brits, so will indulge you all in a quick history lesson: Basically in 1605, Guy Fawkes helped plan a conspiracy to blow up the House of Lords, and the King of England, with a Gunpowder plot. He failed, was caught and arrested. So, every year, there are bonfires and fireworks across the contry to commemorate this.

This year, Aussie really had something special planned, to celebrate the launch of their 'Take The Heat' product range (which work really well by the way) for all us Aussie Angels. We had little idea what to expect; all we knew was that we were to meet at the London Eye to see some fireworks display. For those who don't know, the Eye is a huge wheel, with fairly large capsules for you to stand in and see the whole of London from.

It was an amazing experience. There were 50 of us Angels, all looking pretty gorgeous, and we had 2 capsules booked just for us, with food and drinks as well. We went around in the capsules twice, which took about an hour, and it was a lot of fun. Fireworks were taking place all over the city, so you could see all of them really well. There were fireworks on the horizon everywhere we turned, and watching them from such a height was an incredible experience. The views we saw were seriously breathtaking.

I think I must have taken about a hundred pictures of Big Ben (no wonder my camera battery died!!)

We then headed off to the Jewel Bar, in Covent Garden. Now, we were all really dressed up, and so natuarally, we were all in heels. We were expecting to take the Tube to Covent Garden, but Aussie had arranged for us to go in style. There were 2 hummer limo's waiting for us, and we felt like celebrities. We all sat in comfortably and absolutely enjoyed the whole experience.

We got to the Jewel Bar and saw a spectacular performance from a pretty cool fire breather.

We had a private room and were met with some amazing food and drinks. The whole night wass absolutely perfect. I loved mingling with other bloggers and generally having a good time. One of my favourite things about being a blogger is definitely meeting and hanging with other bloggers. So many of my favourite bloggers were there and it was so much fun catching up with everyone!

First picture is me with Dani and Lil. Second picture is me with Maria, and the last picture is me with Harriet.

I will hopefully have better pictures of the whole night on Wednesday. But I definitley want to say a HUGE Thank You to Aussie and the fabulous night that they arranged and gave us all.

Sherin xx

P.S. I caved in and did something I thought I wouldn't. I started a Facebook page so that it'll be easier to share pictures with all of you. I don't really want very photo heavy posts, so my page will have a lot more pictures of all the events, including this one. Please 'Like' me :)

Am loving your blog, it's got a really nice vibe. I spent Fireworks Night at Lewes in Sussex - have you ever been? It's bonkers - so fabulously un-health-and-safety! Fireworks going off all over the place, LOADS of people and everyone friendly and a little bit drunk if truth be told.
