I went out shopping a few days ago. I saw Nautical stripes EVERYWHERE!!! Seriously, in every shop. I'm loving the nautical trend, so am soooo glad that thats not going anywhere. Stripes and anchor + lots of navy blue: LOVE IT!

Now to the main topic of this post: Baptiste Giabiconi. Forget Kate Moss or Lily Cole, Baptiste is one of my new favourite models. If you don't know who he is, just look at any recent Chanel campaign or picture of Karl Lagerfeld, and you'll see him lurking somewhere.
I don't really go for male models. They just look too perfect (give me a rocker any day), but I have to admit that Baptiste is GORGEOUS!
The frenchman was born in 1990 (can't believe he's younger than me) and Karl Lagerfeld took him under his wing in 2008, when he saw him in a French Vogue editorial.
Since then, he's been in almost every Chanel campaign and is never more than a few feet away from Karl.
He's Karl's muse, and its clear to see why! Karl once described him as "a boy version of Gisele [Bündchen]: skinny, skinny but with an athletic body — good for clothes and great with no clothes.” (Models.com). I think thats a pretty good quote, lol.

My ultimate favourite pictures of him are the ones Karl Lagerfeld took of him as Ken and modelling with Barbies.

I got the above Barbie pictures from Trendnista, where you can check out the rest of the campaign as well.
What do you think of him? A perfect pretty boy or very overrated?

P.S. Ted Baker contacted us about a really interesting competition they have for British Fashion Bloggers.
Basically, Ted Baker have released a crossword and everyday, on their blog, they will be releasing clues to fill in the crossword, on their blog. The catch is that you figure out your own prizes. The letters in the pink boxes spell out the name of the female prize and the letters in the blue boxes spell out the male prize. All the clues will be released by the 9th February 2010.
To win, you’ll need to send your answer to cryptically.yours@googlemail.
