Bloggerfest 2011

On Tuesday evening, Vouchercodes held a Most Wanted Fashion Revolution Party and it was definitely a party to remember.

Firstly, this is my outfit. You've all seen it before, but I'm wearing different shoes this time.

The jeans are Republic, the top is H&M and the shoes are New Look. Aren't they amazing? They were at the amazing price of £5!! I'm loving wedges right now. I'm a huge heels wearer, and wedges give you all the elegance and height of a heel, but with none of the danger.

The event was held at the gorgeous Soho Hotel, and I met my +1, Susie, beforehand so we could walk up together. We did get slightly lost, and ended up completely missing the main entrance, and instead finding the back entrance, which was in a dodgy alley, lol. We had to walk in through the back, and eventually made it to reception, were we bumped into Harriet.
A few more bloggers wandered through, and we all headed off into the main room. The room was gorgeous, and there were balloons and cocktails welcoming us, as well as a tower of cupcakes. For those of you who don't know, blogging is synonymous with cupcake eating. There are delicious cupcakes at all events and we definitley all love them.

This was an absolutely perfect event. There were a lot of fashion bloggers there and I got to meet a lot of my favourite bloggers. It was a great opportunity to mingle and get to know bloggers better, in person. It was so much fun socialising with all the different bloggers, while being surrounded by lovely food and drinks, as well as taking lots of pictures. I loved chatting to all the bloggers and we did discuss almost everything, from shoes to summer plans.

I had a great time catching up with Fritha, MJ, Harriet, and Harriet's friend, Reda. It was also great to finally meet Winnie, as well as bumping into Kristabel, Reena, Sabine, Jazmine, Kirsty, Fiona, Amy and Gem (see, it really was a bloggerfest!!)

We were also treated to a photobooth. There was a box of props outside, which we dressed ourselves in, and then went in to take fun pictures. It was seriously so much fun!

This was followed by a private screening of Marie Antoinette for everyone. I love that movie, but sadly couldn't stay for it.

Also, my blogger BFF, Susie, and I went on another London exploring day yesterday. We wandered around one of my favourite areas, Islington, and discovered an amazing vintage store: Fat Faced Cat, hidden away just behind Islington. I ate a burrito for the first time and loved it; see my reaction in this hilarious GIF. Warning: it gets funnier with every view!! And check out Susie's review of the day here.

Also, I've just done an interview at Smashion. Smashion is a no-fees online fashion marketplace that connects smart buyers and sellers. Members can buy or sell slightly worn, or new, items on no-fees marketplace. This is great for all you thrift store enthusiasts. Check it out here.
