London Through A Lense

I guess we always take advantage of the city we live in and never properly see it until we're actually showing it to someone. I have a cousin round, so my mum and I took a day out of our not-so-busy lives to show him around and remind ourselves about one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

We started off in Westminster to see Parliament (possibly my favourite building in the whole world), before crossing the bridge and having a look at the Millenium Wheel.

(Yup, was there at Midday exactly)

The weather took a turn for the worst, but we managed to get to Trafalgar Square just as it cleared up.

Finally, we went to the British Museum, which I definitely don't go to enough. I love seeing all the mummies (which my cousin had never seen before) and all the Greek/Roman statues.

I think I made a pretty cool tour guide: maybe a future occupation for me...

What do you love about your city?

I keep coming back the South Bank again and again. There's a pub near Waterloo called the Founders Arms that's right on the river, great for a drink and a chat with friends in the sunshine! x

Isn't London the most beautiful city in the world?! It's always good to have visitors because they make us see our every-day surroundings with new eyes.
I'm sure you'd make a superb tourist guide, Sherin! xoxo

great day - love all your pics. My husband is from London and we really need to go there so I can see it all through his eyes as well. Such a beautiful city! On another note - we just got the show "My big fat gypsy wedding" over here - have to say its VERY interesting!! Have you seen it?

The pics you shared are amazing! Love it! I love the domes and minarets of my city, and the traditional shopping areas and the malls :D Its past glory can be visibly seen in the architecture and old buildings and the rest of the city is quite urban. :) have a nice day !

I am always super busy with schoolwork and freelance and work that I rarely stop to explore NYC like I should. That is changing this summer. I love that NYC is never dead...there is always life and things going on and people eveyrwhere. It's an un-lonely city if that makes sense, but it's my dream to get to London and live/work there. Can't wait to visit.

what a great day out. I only started to appreciate london properly in the last year or so and have been trying to make a big effort to visit places i normally wouldn't go to. Trafalgar square is such a nice place to hang out but one of my favourite areas is definitely south bank =)

I wonder what it says about the two of us that PCH and the palace at Westminster are our favourite places!

I love London and fingers crossed I end up there soon! I've never been to the British Museum actually but I've been to most of the attractions. I visited on Wednesday and had the best time- my fave museum has always been the v&a!

In terms of landmarks, nowhere in Canada can even begin to compete with the UK or Europe... But Vancouver's big selling feature is the ocean and mountains. I used to be able to see both from my office window and it really is spectacular :)

Fantastic pictures, Sherin! I'd really love to visit London one day.
Unfortunately, I can't say there's anything exciting about where I live. My neighborhood is by the river and is surrounded by woods, corn fields, and soybean fields. Not too fascinating... Lol.

Gorgeous photos, Sherin!

I hope to visit London one day and see these wonderful sights for real. What I love about the city that I live right now is this 11 cent. cathedral which was used as a setting in one of Ken Follet´s books.

I've been travelling up and down the country a lot over the past year and every time I come back I'm filled with a new sense of appreciation for the city I live in. It's so beautiful here and I feel so lucky to be able to be a permanent feature!
I love the British Museum especially, I always go there when my boyfriend comes to visit cuz he wants to work there one day! X
