Sarenza and London Love

Before we go onto my outfit, I'm writing this with the news on in the background and am absolutely appauled by everything. London is my hometown and to see it literally on fire is devastating and heatbreaking. I can constantly hear sirens outside my house and my local shops are a mess. The H&M, Boots, Body Shop, JD Sports and so on near my house have been absolutely trashed and ruined, and seeing this happen all over London is horrible. My favourite place in London, Camden, has been hit and my favourite venue, the Electric Ballroom, is completely trashed. I guess I'm thankful that I haven't been hit as badly as others, but it's a shame to see all this happen for no reason at all, only for these yobs to have 'fun' and get free stuff. It's a shame that, while in other countries, people riot for freedom of speech or for political reasons, here, it's because people just want new TV's and Trainers and can't be bothered to pay for them. Stay safe to everyone affected and fingers crossed this ends soon.

And on a lighter note: my outfit.
My latest Sarenza shoes are these gorgeous booties from Buffalo. I instantly fell in love with them as they're so beautiful and different.

I paired them with a dress I got from Mina. The dress was one of the only item's that I got in the sales this season (that's self control) and it only cost about £15. Together, the dress and the shoes are perfect and I felt great in this outfit.

The shoes look high (and they are) but I love a good heel, and these are surprisingly comfortable. I absolutely love the gold detailing and various buckles on the shoe, which makes the shoe even more gorgeous and stand out. This is definitely my new 'going out' look (for when I eventually go out) and these shoes will be amazing on nights out.

How would you have worn these shoes?

Thank-you for the comment my lovely,
I LOVE it when shoes are surprisingly comfortable! They look even more impressive because you aren't tottering about in them!

Oh wow those booties are amazing! I love them. The dress was a brilliant sale find too, it'll look great with opaque tights in winter too.
Glad to hear you're safe.

Oh, wow, those shoes are beautiful!

And I know, so, so, so sad about Camden! I never got a chance to go to the ballroom, but its really surreal that I was walking past it on Saturday...

Those booties are fab, love the gold detailing on them!

So sad about the rioting in London, hopefully the mindless violence and greed will stop soon!

Wanting things and deciding not to pay is just every day burglary. Rioting demands something more. It's shitty behaviour but please don't write your countryfolk and city peers off as just The Wrong Sort. Just because there's more privilege, on average, in London than there is in [foreign riot of your choice] it doesn't make the compulsion to riot less inherently political.

Don't you think it would be better to condemn the riot behaviour AND consider the circumstances that make rioting seem like a decent option? I know you have interests in politics and a well-read blog and I'd hate to see you think of the people who need representation and connection the most as just "yobs who like the fun of violent crime".

That's a pretty fierce outfit.

on another note, these thugs running amok in the city destroying peoples livelihoods should be locked up for a very long time.

Luckily my area hasn't been hit by the riots at all, but my eyes have been on the news and it's so sad and incredibly scary. I hope it all comes to an end soon, I just can't believe that people are so desperate that they would resort to this kind of violence and harm their own neighborhoods and communities.

Yeap, the LondonRiots are very, very sad... and as you say: what is the message except grabbing stuff?

I am seriously in love with these shoes. I would have teamed them, not unlike you, with a simple shift dress to really show them off...

So sorry about the riots and that is so sad that all of the wonderful shops have been trashed. Stay safe friend!

As a read about the riots and everything, I was thinking about you and hoping that you're okay, my friend. I can't imagine how devastating/scary it must be to see familiar places, favorite places being destroyed. I'm glad that you're safe though - be careful, my dear friend!
On the positive, your outfit is BEAUTIFUL. That dress is perfect, your hair is perfect as always (I'm so jealous!), and those shoes are INCREDIBLE.

these booties are fierce :) I would wear them with a pair of capris and a nice top or perhaps with a sexy short summer dress. I think these booties could go with pretty much anything.

Those shoes are awesome, I find boots quite comfortable even if the heel is high.

I'm sad to hear about these places getting trashed, hearing rumours that my favourite place in Manchester, Afflecks Palace is being looted :(

You look so pretty Sherin, I love the shoes! Haay, if only I can wear heels as high as that. ;)

PS: I feel so bad about what´s happening in there. Let´s pray that everything will be back to normal soon.

Was shocked by the BBC coverage last night. It looked like scenes from a movie only these were real. Hope the police gets things under control soon. I love London too!
