Take 10 Challenge 13: Debenhams Shoes

For this challenge, Debenhams sent of a pair of shoes from Faith for us to try out, which I honestly wasn't a huge fan of. There were also a few slight issues with some Take 10-ers not getting theirs on time, and having to wait over a month longer than the rest of us.

They have a wedge heel, a strap at the back and the print is velvety: They're not the most flattering shoes in the world and proved to be really hard to style, but I did my best and paired them with a leopard print skirt and a plain black tee (as the shoes are so statementy). We also aptly renamed them 'Spice Girls Shoes'.

They also weren't that comfortable, so I didn't actually wear them out of the house.

And here's how the other girls styled their shoes:

Jen from A Little Bird Told Me
MJ from Dreaming Spires & Old Car Tyres
Sherin from HiFashion
Vicki from Magpie Girl
Paula of Pinkbow
Ellie of Pretty Much Penniless
Sabine from Psynopsis
Susie from TakeOut in Couture
Sarah from We Shop Therefore We Are
Harriet from Where is Harriet

How would you have styled these?

Sherin xx

Since the shoes make such a loud statement themselves, I'd pry just pair it with a plain black dress sundress or something. But if they're really that uncomfortable... it ain't gonna work for me! haha.

I LOVE that you're so honest. I would never pick these up myself. You did a good job in styling them though.

See you today princess, Can't wait.

I love these shoes and the way that you have styled them with the beautiful skirt, I would never of thought of that and would probably have just worn them with black or camel. They do look a little difficult to walk in though

I agree with beingdena - gotta respect your honesty about these shoes. They don't look too comfortable! Champion job on the styling though, I love your skirt. Lol, I like that you called the 'Spice Girl' shoes - the 90s live again! :). xx

Well, even though you weren't a fan you styled them really nicely.
I think I would have either gone for black skinny jeans and a crisp white shirt or dressed them down with wide leg jeans (which would also hide thema little bit) and a slouchy t-shirt over a vest top.
Alternatively a maxi dress would work well.

Hmm, I quite like the shoes personally and I think you look lovely in them! Although they do look a nightmare to walk in!
I don't blame you for consigning them to house shoes only!

Your pairing of the shoes are absolutely gorgeous - it sucks that they weren't more practical or easy to style though! I think that your choice of a solid colored tee was definitely smart - you don't want to go into total Spice Girls territory! ;)

love how you styled them with this skirt! xo

The combination with the leopard skirt looks great! What a challenge! I never wore them again either :)

I think I would have found the most clashing prints and gone completely crazy, as those shoes are kind of wacky themselves! I think all of the girls have done really well to make an outfit for them!

Naming them the spice girl shoes is genius! That is exactly what they are!

I really like the look of these, but if they're so uncomfortable they're not getting shoe rack space! I'd style them with turned up jeans.

You can definitely pull off those shoes, they just look so cute on you!

How would I style them? Ooh in an envelope on their way back to the shop? ;)

You have great legs!

Oh but they look good in the pictures and perfectly matched with your skirt! But then, comfort should come first. ;)

Those shoes are insane! And I agree that "Spice Girl shoes" is the perfect name for them. Lol. But you still look fantastic!
