Henry Holland Dress

So you've seen my whole outfit before, but it was bound to happen at some point, right? Anyway, I have no issues with repeat outfits. It's fun seeing how many different ways you can wear something, and if it looks good, why not wear it All The Time.

Photobucket

I'm wearing my favourite pink Henry Holland for Debenhams dress and my gorgeous Sarenza shoes. I've worn them separately a lot, but together, the two look really good.

Photobucket

And the picture below was taken by Susie! I'm so glad that she's back in town. I missed my favourite photographer (and she's great fun too)!
And I think you can just about see my bangle in the picture below. It's gorgeous and was a present from Susie and Milana :) Thanks guys, I love it!

How do you feel about repeat outfits? Is there any outfit you constantly wear?

Christmas in July

It's been a busy week, with it being my Birthday, and a lot companies showcasing their Christmas collections. I went to quite a few Press Days this week, so I thought I'd put all the best bits in 1 post, instead of doing a lot of separate posts. I always fin looking at AW a lot more fun as there is always more variety and well, it's still pretty cold here, so it seems fitting to looking at clothes for winter.

First up, on tuesday, I went to Next. It was very blogger filled and it was great catching up with fellow bloggers, while checking out the amazing new collections. It was filled with a lot of glamour, and there was even a fashion show to follow. There was a lot of sparkle and a lot of shimmer in satin gowns. And the knitwear was amazing.

PhotobucketPhotobucket
I can't remember her name, but the first picture is the super gorgeous model who does ASOS.

Geri Halliwell!!!! Aka Ginger Spice!! She designed the new, glamorous collection for Next.

Yes, they had super adorable kids on the catwalk, modelling the kids clothes. Possibly the cutest thing EVER!!

I headed to Mina on Thursday, and it fully lived up to my expectations. As you should know now, I have a few Mina dresses and it's by far one of my favourite brands. The dresses are all so gorgeous and are great quality. The press day showed the AW collection and as well as the the SS collection.

The AW collection is exactly what Mina is known for. So there were gorgeous dresses, with some great prints and detailing. It's elegant, with a hint of Vintage, so perfect for any girl wanting to stand out.

PhotobucketPhotobucket
The dress in the first picture will be perfect for Christmas!

The SS collection was beyond gorgeous as well. Again, there was more really pretty prints and light fabric and colours that'll keep you going during the hot months. I love this first dress, with the animal print on it. And I love the pastel colours of the pieces below. The mint green and orange will look amazing in the summer.

Argos was my final Press Day and I had so much fun! I remember always loving the Argos catalogues, especially as a child, so it was great to see that there are still products for everyone. We had a look at the make up and jewellery before finishing up by playing with toys :)
I had no idea, but make up brand, MeMeMe, stock a lot of cool make up at Argos, and the likes of Billabong and Roxy also do jewellery there!!

We went to the toy section and ended up having so much fun there. There was a massive flying Nemo floating around (electronically controlled) and we even got to see some new computer games and play around (I totally won at Mario Cart on the new 3DS :D)

You can see more of each of the collections on my Facebook Page.

Which collections do you like best?

Your Fashion Jewellery

As you know, jewellery is one of my favourite things ever. I have many a jewllery box, filled with statement rings, shiny earrings and fun necklaces. I just can't get enough. I'm always on the hunt for new, affordable jewellery companies and I recently came across YourFashionJewellery, who focus on gorgeous statement pieces and Fashion Bracelets.

First of all, I was SHOCKED at the prices. Everything was so affordable and really pretty. With a lot of items actually being under £10, theere was so much to choose from, at really affordable prices.

I settled on a pair of bangles from the diamante range, which were gorgeous and just £6.99. They came the very next day, and was beautifully packaged in tissue paper and a ribbon (I was too busy ripping it open to take a picture...sorry).

Photobucket

I love the bangles set I chose. They're so beautiful and look a lot more than they're worth. They're perfect, everyday bangles, that can be worn with a lot of things. They're also amazing quality, and the one with diamante is gorgeous. They are sparkly, but not too in-your-face, so the perfect amount of blingyness :)

I would totally recommend Your Fashion Jewellery. Gorgeous pieces, at great prices.

A 'Very' Nice Dress

Firstly, Thank You to everyone for the Birthday wishes, whether via facebook, the blog, face to face or twitter. Everyone's amazing messages did make it one of my best Birthday's EVER!

Excuse the pun, by this dress from the Fearne Cotton Range at Very is, indeed' very nice. I saw it initially at the Press Day and loved it, knowing that it would eventually be mine. So when I was offered something from the range, I didn't even hesitate to pick this piece.

Photobucket

I love the almost retro/60's vibe to it and how the top and skirt parts are so different, making it look like that you're two different pieces. It is actually a very thick and heavy dress, making it perfect for both cold and hot weather. We know very few dresses are actually wearable all year round, but this is one of them. It is also very comfortable. Although, the sizing is a bit large, so if you do want to buy this, I recommend going a size lower.

P.S. Shoe Designer Giuseppe Zanotti has just launched a competition on his Facebook Page, where the winner will get to meet the designer himself! All you have to do is upload a picture or video onto the page, explaining how Giuseppe Zanotti Design shoes have transformed an ordinary day into a special moment, making you feel like a Modern Cinderella, and then people vote for their favourites.

It's my Birthday!

I'm officially 23 years old today! Almost an adult, but not quite, hehe (no one tell reletives how old I am as I don't want anyone to tell me that's 'It's time to find a nice guy').

Photobucket

I had fun being 22, but I'm going to make sure being 23 is a lot more fun. I've already had my family Birthday party and have already got severel presents. I thought I'd share my favourite present of the year, so far: my Tissot Watch, from my Dad, which we got while we were in Switzerland.

Photobucket

I love real Timepieces and have always been a huge fan of the likes of Tissot, TAG Heuer and Breitling (despite never being able to afford them, especially the latter 2!) I'm a firm believer that everyone should own at least 1 decent, real watch, that would last a lifetime, and can then be passed down. I do feel really weird if I leave the house without a watch ever (my current being a Nini Ricci), and this one is a perfect addition for me.

P.S. Susie's given me a sneak peek on my birthday present and it looks like it'll ROCK!

UGG-tastic

We all know that most fashionista's have pre-conceptions on UGG Boots and tend to stay away from the brand in general. I was always one of them...until Wednesday, when UGG's PR kindly invited me to the Covent Garden store to have a look around and pick a pair for myself.
I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised to see that UGG do a lot more styles of shoes, instead of just the winter boots that they're known for. They really do cater for everyone, with a wide range of different and fashionable shoes.

There was everything from pretty sandals and wedges, to heeled boots and Cloggs. I can't believe I never knew that UGG did all these shoes and there was definitely more than one style that I could see myself wearing.
The Sheepskin that UGG use, and what they're predominantly known for, is Twin Face, meaning that they use both the skin side and the fleece side. And the suede on the outside is really durable and can even handle rain and such.

Photobucket

I tried on a pair of sneakers (which I went home with as well :)) and they were so comfortable. No wonder UGG fans are so loyal.

Photobucket

It seriously felt like I was walking on a cloud, and the sheepskin lining was so warm, and it was like having my feet in a warm blanket. These are my new go-to sneakers, as they'll be perfect for both hot and cold weather and don't they look pretty cool as well?

Photobucket

So, my opinion on UGG has completely changed? Will you be seeing what else they have to offer? I recommend another look on the website.

Very

Earlier this week I went to the Foundation Bar, in Covent Garden, to watch a short presentation from the Very V-Team and as well as seeing them pick their winner for the V-Stylist Competition that they were running.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Firstly, this is what I wore. Both pieces happen to be from previous Take10 challenge: Max C Dress and Schuh brogues (only worn once!! I definitely need to wear them more).

The event was a lot of fun and saw the V-Team discussing everything from fashion and beauty to Technology and interiors.
First up was make up expert Ginni, who discussed various make up trends and inspirations, and even passed a few make up products around.
Next, Cate (from BitchBuzz, who I LOVE) discussed technology and the best camera's/tabs etc.
Sally, who did interiors, showed how to make you house very cool and had great inspiration on screen.
Finally Kirsty, in charge of fashion, talked up through various fashion trends and looks, and created some great outfits!
The ladies then introduced Suzi, who won the competition and will be joing the V-Team. You can check out Suzi's blog here and Youtube Channel here.

Photobucket

All 4 of these lovely ladies are available on the Very Facebook page, where they regularly answer questions that you may have about their 4 areas of expertise.

The time for jumpers

I recently decided that summer wasn't coming to England at all. Between the constant heavy rain and temperatures that make it feel like October, I've dug up all my hoodies and coats for when I go out.
I do find it hard to stay stylish when it's cold and the temptation to just through on jeans, boots and a hoody is too strong.

I have, however, developped a new love for cropped jumpers. I'm still not a fan of cropped t's, but cropped jumpers are a whole different story. They're a lot easier to layer and can look really cute. I love this stripped jumper, which was gifted from Motel Rocks (who are in the last few days of their sale).
Photobucket

I was surprised at how warm and cosy it was. Definitely a new wardrobe staple for me. I paired it with a tank underneath and a skirt, but it got cold, so switched to a pair of jeans and Converses before heading out, to the cinema (to watch Harry Potter. Wasn't it awesome!??!!!)

Photobucket

Would you wear cropped jumpers?

QVC Jewels

My aunt's wedding was scheduled for early next month, in Italy, and we were all pretty excited for it. We were so concerned about getting out hotels and flights properly booked, that I actually forgot to sort out an outfit. So, about 2 weeks ago, I frantically sent out emails to companies to see if anyone could help out and offer some pieces, and everyone was nice enough to say yes.

Unfortunately, the wedding has since been called off, but not before a lovely package containing some really pretty jewellery from QVC made it's way to my house. I felt the immediate need to dress up and style them anyway though! (I caught that intensity off Susie, and love it.)

Both pieces are really elegant, so I paired them with a black dress (from A Wear) and black heels (ASOS).
Photobucket

The first piece was this super gorgeous necklace from Butler and Wilson (which is my favourite jewellery brand from QVC). The stones are crystals, but don't they look like real diamonds? It's such an elegant piece and looks way more expensive then it really is (£58). It's absolutely beautiful and definitely stands out.

Photobucket
Photobucket

The second piece was this bracelet from Suarti, and is real pearls and silver. Again it's a really beautiful piece and is such a bargain (£23) for real pearls! It's really easy to wear and, on it's own, could be perfect for both a formal do, or even a casual day.

What would you wear to a wedding?

Client Scarf

I've mentioned Client before, and as well as doing military inspired pieces, they also do some great scarves, with fun prints on them.
I was recently sent this really lovely scarf from Client and it's so pretty. It has a typewriter print, so it's really unique.

Photobucket
Photobucket

I think something like this is the perfect accessory to have, as you could tie it around your hair or neck, or even attach it to a bag. It's great quality and was even embroidered on by the designer, Kate Holmes, so it really is a special and unique piece.

Davos Via Zurich Via Paris

So I spent most of last week, in Switzerland with my family and I wish I had fun outfit posts to share, but it was very cold throughout and it rained a lot! So instead of wearing the pretty dress and skirts that I packed, I was forced into wearing the same jeans everyday. Luckily, jeans don't ever need to be washed!

We decided on doing somthing different this time and instead of flying, we decided to take a train, which was definitely an experience. Day 1 was spent mostly on trains. We took the Eurostar to Paris and only stayed an hour before our train to Zurich. It was supposed to be a 3 hour journey, but delays and very bad weather meant that it took over 6! The French and Swiss countryside is beautiful though and time flew as I was admiring it, with a good book, and some great music. We were stranded at Strasbourg for a ages though as a huge storm was waiting for us there (massive hailstones).

Photobucket
Photobucket

We spent the next morning wandering around Zurich, before grabbing a car and driving to Davos.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

It was a 3 hour drive through the montains and we saw some beautiful little Swiss towns on the way. Although we did get lost at one point and ended up on a very narrow mountain road, quite high up. There was no room to turn around, so had to go back in reverse, and we were millimetres from the edge at times.

Photobucket

Davos is a lovely small town and is pretty high up, so it was constantly cold and rained the whole time. Our hotel was actually higher up in the mountains, so we parked up in Davos and had to take a cable car from there (it was the only way to and from the hotel). Our hotel was the only thing up there and it was oddly relaxing not hearing any cars or street sounds, and just being hidden up there (there were clouds around us so you actually couldn't see the hotel from Davos).

Photobucket
(The view of Davos from my hotel room)

We woke up to this the next morning though:

Photobucket

Yup, we could see nothing from the hotel and it was freezing. We braved it and went down to Davos, where it was slightly clearer, but it still felt like a November. It looked like it would get warmer, so we took a cable car to some really high peaks. It was real winter up there, so we didn't stay too long and took the next cable car down.

Photobucket
Photobucket

We then went to Davos Lake to relax, but the weather got worse, so were only there long enough to take a few pictures. But I did buy tons of Swiss chocolate, which made me feel a lot better :)

Photobucket

We drove back to Zurich the next morning, where it was considerably warmer, and I actually got to wear my sunglasses while we took a boat trip on the lake. We had to have an early night as we were on the first train to Paris in the morning. I would have liked to stay in Zurich for longer, especially since my brother and I were sharing this amazing Suite.

Photobucket
Photobucket

After a 4 hour train journey in the morning, we finally got to Paris...where it was raining. We only had a few hours  before we had to catch the Eurostar so only had lunch (crepes) and walked around for a bit. Those few hours were definitely not long enough!! I think we need a bloggers trip to Paris one weekend, right??

Would you ever do such a long train journey? It's worth doing once (though I doubt I'd do it again).

P.S. How awesome is this remix of The Sound of Arrows Magic??
