To UGG or Not UGG

I recently got sent a pair of Whooga Ugg boots, and they completely changed my whole philosophy on Ugg boots. Up till a few months ago, I never would have thought I'd get a pair, but over the last few months, they've become more and more appealing. The thought of fleece lined boots is definitely tempting when it's so cold.

Ugg refers to a style of sheepskin boot, and Whooga have been said to be the warmest ones, which I have to agree with. As soon as I slipped them on the morning I got them, I found it hard to take them off. They're so warm and comfortable, and perfect for the really cold weather that has come to London (we went down to -8 celcius).
I opted for a pair of the classic tall boots, in black and I'm really loving them. The inner fleece is very thick and comfortable, and have been compared to having a cloud around your feet! Even without socks, my feet are all warm and cosy.

The good thing about Whooga is that they're a great alternative to other Ugg sellers out there. They're a lot cheaper than the rest, but also a lot warmer and better quality. The grip on them is amazing as well. I was wearing them all day and was even out when it started snowing in the evening. As I do with new shoes, I checked out the grip and was impressed at how well they did. There's no chance of me slipping in these!

I paired them with an ultimate winter look of skinny A Wear jeans and a really warm, chunky knit jumper from Fat Face. So, safe to say, I was warm throughout.

The eagle eyed readers among you will notice that my hair is different in these pictures. I went to the hairdressers (finally) and got several inches off, as well as getting my fringe re-done.

These Whooga's have HiFashion's seal of approval. Uggs are a perfect shoe when it's this cold and in the snow as they're super warm and comfortable. I just can't believe I snubbed them for so long! They may not be the most stylish of shoes, but no denying their use in the winter months. I kinda don't want to take them off. They offer better quality than their competitors, and are a lot cheaper, so there's no real reason not to buy them!

So be honest: What are your opinions of Uggs? Are you donning them throughout the winter, or still avoiding them? Once I tweeted about getting these, I was surprised at how many actually came back to me saying they already have Uggs!

P.S. Have you entered my giveaway?

I have a pair of Uggs that I bought in NYC a couple of years ago, I rarely wear them out but when I lived in halls at uni I wore them all the time inside. I can definitely see the appeal of them in this cold weather, even for Ugg-haters!
Your hair looks gorgeous in these pictures, so healthy-looking. x

I think ugg style boots are perfectly acceptable when paired with a casual outfit! Warm and comfortable, what more could you want!

Loving your new hair cut :)

My honest opinion would be that I cannot stand UGGS! I don't know what it is, I just don't like the look of them. The black ones you have look okay but the brown ones make me want to VOM!

I wouldn't wear them out, but if they're that comfortable and warm I might invest in a pair to wear at home during the winter!

Personally, I love UGGS - especially when they're styled like this. I really think people's perception of UGGS has to do with styling. If you look sloppy, then UGGS aren't going to help. If you look chic and cozy, however, like you do here, then they look phenom! :)

You know, I'm not a big Ugg person AT ALL, but I have to admit that these are cute. The black ones are definitely way better than the regular color (tan?). I would actually wear these!! Plus, I'm pretty sure that if I were living in London during the winter, I would be all about warmth too, no matter what brand was offered to me! Haha! ;)

I love your hair. It's gorgeous. What a perfect style. You look straight out of a hair magazine! I want to save the fourth photo and take it to my hair dresser some time in the near future, to see if she can work some magic on ME! xoxo

I always said I would never wear Ugs. But I got sent some Whooga boots a few years ago to review and I haven't looked back. They have lasted really well. In this freezing cold weather, I couldn't be without them.

Oh, Uggs. The neverending fashion debate. I'm from Manitoba, where the temperature dips to -40 degrees celsius (or lower!) in the winter, so something this warm is essential. I've had Uggs almost since they came out, but I've never been able to reconcile myself with how they look. Last year, I got a pair of the knit ones, though, and I do like them quite a lot better. And you can't beat the comfort factor. Sometimes you just have to be practical!

They look good, I'm all for anything that will keep me snug, but they can't be waterproof surely?

I was sent a pair of these and I was dubious before but I've had them for about 6 months now and I can't imagine cold mornings or lazy Sundays without them!

Aahh, you chose well Sherin! They look great on you - and while I'm not one for wearing them outdoors they are perfect for cosying up!

I have to say, however cold I have been I have never been tempted by Uggs, I just really hate them!

i honestly thought they would go away by now. they are seriously nonstyle. they just dont say anything about your personal style.

I've had this same Ugg conundrum recently. When I was younger I opted for the annual fake Primark pair, but recently my style has completely changed. My feet have been permanently freezing this year, but I don't want to jeopardise my personal look for the sake of warmth and comfort. Does that sound awful? I just don't think my pretty blouses will like them.
