Biking Around

Since the rush of people has hit London due to the Olympics, we're looking for alternatives to buses and trains. I've been walking around London a lot more, and been attempting to travel via the public Barclay Bikes (for those non Londoners, they're public bikes that you can hire and there are numerous stands around the City where you can pick up and drop off bikes).

I do struggle with practical and stylish bike gear, which is why I absolutely LOVE the new bag I got from Linus. Linus are a Californian based brand who focus on providing really cool and trendy bikes and bike accessories. Their new range of bags have just hit the UK, and I was glad to be able to test one of them.

The bag looks really cool and fits so well in the baskets. It's also a really practical bag. I love the messenger canvas style and can fit quite a bit in, as well as a laptop. It has various compartments within it, so there's room for everything. It also has a magnet to close, to give it a unique feel.

The best bit is that the bag comes with a detachable strap, so you can wear it around your shoulders while you bike. By taking off the strap, the bag also transforms into a pretty cool looking large clutch, which is perfect!

How do you make biking look cool?

I can't remember the last time I went biking; or can I? My mother acquired an electronical bike last year and I've been using that for a bit (to be fair: we live on top of a hill, so the small motor is useful!).

I've always loved canvas backpacks, so I mostly use them when biking!

I promised my young nephew that I would never get on a bike without wearing a helmet so looking stylish is impossible!

I love the look of this bag, it looks so roomy! I haven't biked for years but it is impossible to look chic in a helmet!

Are Londoners excited about the Olympics or are they fed up by this point? haha

I like this bike idea. I visited a city a little while back that had this system. Your post makes me want to ride a bike again, I'd find it really fun.

Sherin, you look great with this sporty look and the breton top and cute bags are really nice! I only bike during my summer holidays in Italy (which happen to start tomorrow!!!) and I tend to go for a comfortable combo of top & shorts.

I loved biking around a lot when I was in Sweden.. the handbasket sure made it easier!

Very cute outfit, perfect for biking! :) I would love to bike to work, but the trip would take too long like that and I'm not patient enough :D I love that bag of yours, it looks very practical while being totally cute at the same time :) xoxo ♥

I'm not a biker - although I would if there were good cycle routes in Glasgow - but have been walking the 3 miles from work to home and it's really hard to find an outfit that kind of suits the office and the walk! This bag looks brill. xx

Those Barclay bikes look brilliant! Paris has something similar, called Velib, that's actually part of public transit, and I love it. I wish we could get something similar in Vancouver - I don't bike enough to warrant buying my own, but sometimes, it would be so convenient to have one! But then there is the how to remain stylish while riding conundrum. You did a beautiful job; I just love that bag!
