Leather Panels

Who would have thought I would have so much fun pairing a faux leather panel dress with a pair of Hi Top Vans (my new favourite pair of trainers ever).

So I essentially forgot we're in the depths of winter at the moment so decided to wear a dress, then remembered how cold it was. Smart moves from me! But now I'm eagerly waiting for the summer so that I can wear this exact same outfit. I'm telling you: dresses and trainers will be my go to this summer.

Despite loving the look of faux leather dresses, I don't think I could ever pull them off myself, which is why a leather panelled dress is perfect. The leather look is along the sides while the dress itself is so warm and comfortable. It's also an edgy take on the LBD and will be a great day-to-night dress, with all it needing is a quick change of shoes.

I paired the dress with a new pair of hi-top Vans, to give it a more laidback vibe. They still look so new so I can't wait to scuff them about in some mud to give them a more worn look. They're as comfortable as any other Vans and look pretty cool too. All in all, a winner in the shoe department.

How was everyone's weekends? I've been looking forward to this Monday for a while as the new season of Revenge starts on TV tonight! So excited. (I know my readers in the US have had it for ages already).

So glad I'm not the only one who gets dressed forgetting its winter - happens to me all the time :) I love the idea of pairing an LBD like this with Vans. It never would have crossed my mind, but my teenaged self is cheering!

Hooray for leather! I am seriously digging the leather panel accents, Sherin - they truly toughen up the standard little black dress...gorgeous! :)

This looks fab Sherin! I adore the dress and trainers look but I feel a bit daft wearing that combination now, at 37, I tend to wear casual sandals instead.

You could definitely pull off a leather dress!! You look amazing in that leather panel dress :) You could probably layer it for the winter. I love that leather has become a trend for not only the colder weather but for spring as well!
