Grow Wild

Hope everyone is enjoying the Easter break. I took a mini trip up to Birmingham to hang with an old friend, and I have a new found love for the city now.

Thought I'd share a really fun event I was at recently. Kew Gardens have started a new campaign, called Grow Wild, and I was lucky enough to be at the launch (which included a performance from Neon Jungle).
The aim of the campaign is to inspire people to transform their lives with more nature to help improve unloved spaces the UK. The programme wants to bring people together to sow and enjoy native wild flowers across the country and wants people to turn anywhere they want into a more wildlife friendly zone, be it a garden or even a windowsill - the perfect way to connect with nature a bit more.
Grow Wild wants to inspire three million people to sow wild flower seeds and many have always signed up to receive seed kits.

The event was a lot of fun and aimed to include the beauty of wild flowers in the middle of London. We were on a rooftop, right besides The Shard, so the backdrop was amazing and all the flowers were so pretty. I was taught how to properly plant flowers and was given seen some seeds to plant myself. I've done these in my garden, and they're sprouting up nicely so I'll share them when they start flowering. I also got to spend some time with some old blogger buds, and it was fun to catch up.

You can also sign up and get seeds of your own here.

What a clever idea! I always love seeing flowers in London - they seem just slightly out of place with all of the stone buildings but that just makes them all the lovelier.
